As is our tradition, we went camping in Lausanne. Isabel, Aliya and Ben enjoyed a vacation while I went to work (the camping site is only 2.5km from my office). However, I did find some time to enjoy a little site seeing and to do some swimming :-) The photos can be found on our smugmug page.

Ben was baptized on the 22nd of July at Gwatt church. We followed the baptism with a nice lunch at the Park Hotel in Gunten with the grandparents, the godfather and the godmother. After lunch we hand more food and drinks at our place. The photos can be found on our smugmug page.
A wonderful and busy four weeks in Canada and the USA, that was our big vacation in 2012. We picked up an RV in Seattle and from there headed up to Vancouver Canada, then on up the Sunshine Coast to Lund which is the last stop on HWY 101. Next we joined my mother, father, sister and nephew on Vancouver Island where we spent a week touring the southern half of the island. From there we continued on HWY 101 traveling down the West Coast of the USA and finally reaching San Francisco where we traded the RV for a rental car. Following San Francisco we spent by 5 days in Reno visiting family, shopping and enjoying beautiful lake Tahoe. The photos can be found on our smugmug page.
We did the Grimmimutz hike with the Swiss side of the family. The Grimmimutz is a childern's walk at the South end of the Diemtigtal. We made a full day of it and Aliya was a trouper, walking almost the whole way by herself. The photos can be found on our smugmug page.

Aliya, Isa and I spent a long weekend in the Lake Constance (Bodensee) region enjoying the attractions in the area. There we meet up with friends and had a great time visiting the Sea Life aquarium in Constance, the Ravensburger Spieleland and Affenberg Salem. The photos can be found on my smugmug page.
We joined Bob, Criss, Rafe and Rafe's grandmother for a day playing at the Seeteufel Zoo in Studen. The kids had a great time and were worn out by the end of the day.
